What Experts Say You Should Leave Your AC At In North Dakota
It's a constant battle isn't it? You're too hot, then you're too cold. The weather is unpredictable in North Dakota.
I mean just look the other day we had tornados ripping through the state. The week before is was blazing hot. The week before that rain, rain and more rain.
Because of all of this crazy weather we don't know what to do with ourselves. We don't know what to do with our thermostats.
On the next insanely hot summer day in North Dakota experts say you should have your AC at a specific temperature.
Recommended AC Temp
According to the US Department of Energy, North Dakotans should keep the AC set at 78 degrees in the summer for optimal comfort and energy savings. This sounds insane, even to me, a person who is always cold.
I can't imagine coming in off of the boat, sunburned and sweaty, only to walk into an equally hot house.
The source says from an energy standpoint, that's what you should have it set on while you're home.
They say when you're away form home, you should turn it up to 85 degrees. Gulp, let that sink in.
...My cat would die.
The source also says you can turn it down to 72-75 when you go to bed because you get a better night's rest in cooler temperatures.
Thoughts?
While I always appreciate some good advice, I think I'll ignore this "Hot tip".
