ND Childhood Favorite Is Closing Hundreds Of Stores
Growing up there was always one store that I would get really excited about, and now it's leaving a North Dakota city for good.
I remember saving up all of my allowance and birthday money, just so I could use it to do a massive Claire's haul. Everything in Claire's sparkled and shined and I needed to have all of it. I'm sure you felt the same way as a kid.
So you remember when we wore everything with Happy Bunny on it? I loved all of the sassy captions and naturally had to cover everything I owned with the stickers.
Remember these jewelry boxes? I swear I had all of them. I also collected the mini globes. I may or may not still have some of them to this day.
Or how about these link-chain bracelets that always pinched the crap out of our wrists?
Remember when we thought that these made us look edgy? Like me, I'm sure all of these things are making you nostalgic.
Closing In North Dakota
Sadly, some North Dakotans will no longer be able to take their kids to experience this fun place. According to USA Today, Claire's Holdings LLC announced last week that they would be closing 290 stores all across the country.
Of the many stores, Minot North Dakota's location made the closing list. Bismarck's location wasn't listed in this announcement, so hopefully we can hang on to our location a little longer, though the source said that after the bankruptcy filing, it looks like they will need to close as many as 1,100 stores if they don't find a buyer.
